October 19th – 24th, 2007
The season started early and I spent 6 days hiking and skiing in the Wasatch. It was near 70° in the valley and the skiing was still soft and fresh in mountains.
I ran into Sage, Dash, Pep and Chris Collins getting there early season hiking on. The early season is one of my favorite when you can hike wherever you want.
The forecast is not looking good, so that might have been a tease but what a good tease!

The Nitro Circus Film “ThrillBillies” made its world premier on October 20th. The film is a constant onslaught of unbelievably rowdy footage.

I headed to Aspen, CO. to attend “The Meeting”. Aspen gathers all the top film makers and athletes together to view the new crop of ski/snowboard films.
It is a great chance to talk to everyone face to face and discuss all aspects of our sport and where we are headed.
Aspen puts on a great show with the swanky Sky Hotel as home base. All in all we raced shifter carts, mountain biked, high fived and saw enough ski and snowboard footage to get anyone fired up for the season.
